When I was little, dandelions grew everywhere in our backyard. I remember how much I liked wandering through the bushes, picking handfuls of them, sitting down on the grass, just looking at them. They seemed so different from all the other flowers, there was something wild about them. They made me feel happy.

They still do.

Merging abstract elements with those early memories, this painting mirrors the images of those moments I have in my mind. It’s like I’m there again.
