October is my favourite month of the year. It’s that time when the air changes slightly toward winter each day, sometimes the changes are so subtle it’s barely noticeable. But I notice it.
It’s something you can feel and smell as the leaves start to turn from green to shades of yellow, orange, red and gold. They fall to the ground and the crisp sound of their cracking as I walk through them, scattering them as I go, and as the wind gently blows, makes it even more special.
