I’ve too long hidden myself away in dark colours, or as some would say, the complete absence of colour. In Bloom was an attempt to re-integrate colour back into my life after a particularly turbulent few months of dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
It was my first tentative steps to show I was ready to put things behind and move forward into a new season of my life where I could finally bloom. The joy of working with these bold contrasting colours and the feel of their various textures as I worked them into the paper…language limits how much I can express this, but I hope the finished piece says what I cannot.
