I like the idea of travelling, but so often it can be stressful. It should be easy, but there are so many factors to consider; delays, cancellations, overcrowding, pushing, shoving, noise, smells… all the things that can trigger a meltdown.

So instead, I dream of other ways I can travel and places I can go. And I paint them. Usually they feature a lone traveller who’s free from all those concerns, crossing both space and time.
