I don’t enjoy crowded spaces, I’m uncomfortable around noise and what I perceive as intense smells. Flashing lights leave me disoriented. Crossing the road is a task that requires me to tune out all of those things, and at times I can’t manage it and have to be guided.

Sometimes, I close my eyes and venture to places whithout man-made sounds and lights.

This painting was a freeform exercise where I could let the colours guide me… Yearning to wander places without fear of sensory overload. I’m free. I’m right where I want to be. A stranger in a strange land.
